Will you leave a wilder future?

Help us protect wildlife with a gift in your will

After you have made sure your loved ones are looked after, please consider leaving a gift to Wiltshire Wildlife Trust in your Will. Gifts in Wills are vital to all our work and any gift you give, whatever size, will make a big difference. By pledging such a gift, you can ensure your love for wildlife will continue to have a positive impact. Your gift will help us to:

  • Protect threatened species
  • Create new habitats for wildlife
  • Educate people about the importance of wildlife
  • Inspire future generations to care for the environment

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our friends and supporters. Your generosity helps us to make a real difference for wildlife in Wiltshire.

Remember, even a small gift can make a big difference.

Together, we can create a wilder future for Wiltshire.

Angela's Story

Angela Bryant

Angela Bryant started volunteering for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust at the Devenish Reserve in December 2013. Despite not knowing a huge amount about the natural world and conservation, she was a quick learner and became an integral part of the regular group supporting the warden. Angela contributed to work at Coombe Bissett and volunteered for the Water Team across the county. Her time with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust inspired her to enrol as a mature student at Sparsholt College, where she passed her course with flying colours.

We were incredibly moved when we were notified that Angela had included a substantial gift for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust in her Will alongside the following message:

“For many years as a volunteer, you have provided me with so much pleasure, friendship, education and most certainly enhanced my life, thank you”

Angela’s hard work, dedication, expertise and support were invaluable, and she is very much missed by us. Her gift means the work that she was so passionate about can continue and we are incredibly grateful that she chose to do this.

Christine's Story

Christine Rolt

"Mum had been a long-time supporter of the wildlife trusts, at least as far back as the 1980s when as children we used to receive the wildlife watch materials… following her recovery from cancer she embarked on her fundraising walk in 2018 visiting all the trust's reserves in Wiltshire. Following such commitment to the aims and principles of the wildlife trusts, she naturally asked that a significant donation be made from her estate. She had specified that she wanted this to be put towards a worthwhile project… we decided that the proposed work at Jones's Mill (a place she and my dad had particularly enjoyed visiting) would absolutely have been something she would have supported.

It is good to know that her legacy lives on through this project."

~ Will Rolt, son of Christine Rolt.

Why it is important to think about this now

We have lived in Wiltshire for 50 years and have enjoyed the landscapes and wildlife here with our family. It seems fitting to give something back for all the "free" experiences we have had over the years. Hence the legacy we have included in our Wills... so Wiltshire Wildlife Trust can do even more to help the priceless environment for future generations.
